In November 2018, Lorraine visited the island of Mauritius.
A 13-hour flight direct from London and she arrived on Paradise Island, boasting long white sandy beaches and stunning hotels. Lorraine stayed in a mixture of accommodation on both the east & west coast, she visited the capital of Port Louis, taking in the hustle and bustle of the street markets, the swanky shops and the fascinating Aapravasi Ghat Museum (this is based on the immigration depot).
You can take a catamaran from Grand Baie, visit the resort of Flic & Flac or a take an excursion to Black River Gorges National Park with temples, statues and stunning scenery, natural waterfalls and some very cheeky monkeys.
Lorraine would be happy to advise anyone interested in travelling to Mauritius.
