My City Break in Krakow

I’ve just returned from the most incredible city break in Krakow, Poland, and I couldn’t wait to share some of the highlights from my trip! From its rich history and stunning architecture to the amazing food and vibrant atmosphere, Krakow completely won me over.

I’ve included some of my favourite photos from the trip — it’s easy to see why this city is such a popular destination!

One of the places I loved the most was Rynek Główny (Main Market Square). It’s the heart of the city — full of life, colour, and character. I spent most of my time here, soaking in the historic surroundings, watching the horse-drawn carriages roll by, and enjoying the buzz of the square.

A big part of the trip for me was learning about Krakow’s history. Visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau was an emotional and deeply moving experience that I’ll never forget. I also explored the Wieliczka Salt Mine, which felt like stepping into another world — complete with underground chapels, sculptures, and salt-lined tunnels.

And of course, I couldn’t visit Poland without diving into the local food! I tried Pierogi (Polish dumplings), which were absolutely delicious, and had a hearty Polish goulash at Morskie Oko, a lovely traditional restaurant with a warm, rustic feel.

From unforgettable sights to incredible food and a rich cultural experience, Krakow was everything I hoped for and more. I’m so glad I had the chance to explore this beautiful city — and I already can’t wait to go back.
